Official Launch Workshop for the Center for Startup, Innovation, Venture Capital and Private Equity Studies (FGVnest)

Provide an inclusive space to reflect on the possibility of creating a positive agenda for Brazil's growth and economic development through innovative and high-impact business. That is the proposal of the workshop that will mark the official launch of FGVnest – Center for Startup, Innovation, Venture Capital and Private Equity Studies, to be held on August 9, starting at 8:30 a.m., at FGV’s Main Office (Praia de Botafogo, 190. Auditorium – 12th floor. Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro/RJ).
The goal of the workshop is to bring together investors, private equity and venture capital managers, innovative companies, entrepreneurs and public policy makers in a single environment to discuss the impact of startups, innovation, venture capital and private equity in Brazil’s development.
The event is divided into three panels that will address subjects such as “The Contribution of Startups and Venture Capital to Economic Development”; “Innovation, Investments and Corporate Ventures”; and “Private Equity and Venture Capital: Present and Future”. The workshop will feature the President of FGV, professor Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal, and representatives from organizations such as Anjos do Brasil, Antera Gestão de Recursos, BNDES, Bozano Investimentos, BTG Pactual, B3, CVM, FINEP, Gaia Silva Gaede Advogados, MDIC, TOTVS, Turim Family Office and Vinci Partners, among other guests.
FGVnest is a pioneering initiative of FGV Growth & Development conceived to actively contribute to the country’s high-impact entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Center will be a reference “Hub” in the Startup, Innovation, Venture Capital and Private Equity segments, aggregating, promoting and encouraging initiatives by FGV, as well as investors, entrepreneurs, public policy makers, innovative companies and other academic institutions, through the generation and dissemination of knowledge.
