Organizational Structure
The Getulio Vargas Foundation comprises various academic units, research centers, schools and institutes, promoting a multidisciplinary approach to education and research.
President
Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal
Professor Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal has been President of the Getulio Vargas Foundation since 2000. He graduated in Civil Engineering in 1980 from the School of Engineering of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), but opted for academic life, graduating in Mathematical Economics from the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA) in 1982. PhD course at the Graduate School of Economics - EPGE of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (1980-1982). PhD in Economics from Princeton University (USA) in 1986.

Clovis José Daudt Darrigue de Faro
Clovis de Faro has a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidade Federal Fluminense (1964), a master's degree in Operations Research from Stanford University (1969) and a doctorate in Industrial Engineering from the same university (1974). He attended the post-doctoral program at the University of Munich in 1980/1981.

Marcos Cintra Cavalcanti de Albuquerque
He has a degree in Economics - Harvard College (1968), a Master's degree in Economics (M.A in Economics) - Harvard University (1976), a Master's degree in Regional Planning (M.R.P. in Regional Planning) - Harvard University (1974) and a PhD in Economics - Harvard University (1985). He is currently a full professor and vice-president of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation, and President of the Financier of Studies and Projects-FINEP.
