The impacts of marine debris: analyzes and solutions

Marine debris damages ecosystems and the maritime economic sectors, such as tourism and fishing. The extent of this pollution is global, with plastic particles detected in every ocean in the world - even the most remote and untouched environments, and have already entered the food chain. A recent study on the subject was published by the Brazilian Association of Public Cleaning and Special Waste Companies - Abrelpe, in partnership with the International Solid Waste Association - ISWA.
