nternational Seminar | Energy Transition at Sea: Challenges and Opportunities for Brazil - Day 2

About
The International Maritime Organization (IMO), a UN agency responsible for regulating maritime transport, is currently defining resolutions, measures, and goals for restructuring the sector in the face of the challenge of energy transition at sea. These definitions have impacts and open opportunities for Brazilian industry and foreign trade. The objectives of this international seminar are:
- To alert key actors and decision-makers in the involved sectors to the urgency, scope, and speed of the energy transition at sea;
- To highlight Brazil's comparative and competitive advantages in replacing fossil fuels with green alternatives;
- To outline the foundations for the construction of a National Plan for Energy Transition at Sea, providing guidelines to support new public policies and regulatory frameworks;
- To articulate the establishment and coordination of a High-Level Committee to address issues related to the energy transition at sea.
The seminar will feature government, business, and academic representatives, including IMO Secretary-General, Mr. Arsenio Dominguez, who will deliver the opening presentation.
