Tending to the specific needs of professionals and corporations, FGV's Institute for Educational Development (IDE) was created in 2003 with the aim of developing executive education programs that combine the excellence and tradition of FGV’s schools, institutes and centers with the innovation and practical approach required by the market.

The Institute consists of the following units:

• FGV Executive Education: an executive education program responsible for courses in the nuclei of Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia and Sao Paulo, as well as a network of partner institutions in more than 100 cities in Brazil;
• FGV Online: a distance learning program;
• FGV In Company: customized courses for companies, public institutions, corporate universities and third sector organizations;
• Quality Certification: which shares the quality of knowledge and education produced by the institution with undergraduate Business Administration and Economics courses from other institutions across the country.
