2021 university entrance exam: FGV holds 100% online selection process for its undergraduate courses

As of Monday, August 3, Fundação Getulio Vargas will accept applications for its 2021 university entrance exam for its schools in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia. There are 1,223 places on offer via this exam. Applications must be made online, no later than November 6. You can also apply via the National High School Exam (ENEM), until December 2.

For this selection process, all the tests will take place online, in line with the restrictions imposed by the government authorities to combat the spread of COVID-19 and to ensure the safety of all candidates.

Vacancies:

Brasilia

In Brasília, there are 50 vacancies for FGV’s Public Administration course:

  • - Public Administration (35 places via the university entrance exam, eight via the National High School Exam (ENEM) and seven through the international selection process).

Rio de Janeiro

In Rio de Janeiro, 453 places are on offer, broken down as follows:

  • - Administration (70 via the university entrance exam, 20 via ENEM and 10 via the international selection process);
  • - Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (40 via the university entrance exam, eight via ENEM and four via the international selection process);
  • - Social Science (36 via the university entrance exam, 10 via ENEM and four via the international selection process);
  • - Law (70 via the university entrance exam, 20 via ENEM and 10 via the international selection process).
  • - Economics (85 via the university entrance exam, 10 via ENEM and five via the international selection process);
  • - Applied Mathematics (43 via the university entrance exam and eight via ENEM).

Sao Paulo

In Sao Paulo, there are 720 vacancies, distributed across the following courses:

  • - Daytime Business Administration (206 via the university entrance exam, eight via ENEM and 26 via the international selection process);
  • - Evening Business Administration (39 via the university entrance exam, four via ENEM and seven via the international selection process);
  • - Public Administration (75 via the university entrance exam, 10 via ENEM and 15 via the international selection process);
  • - Law (68 via the university entrance exam, 10 via ENEM and two via the international selection process);
  • - Economics (100 via the university entrance exam, five via ENEM, eight via the Knowledge Olympics and 37 via the international selection process);
  • - International Relations (80 via the university entrance exam, five via ENEM and 15 via the international selection process).

Fees and deadlines:

At all its schools, FGV offers special conditions to candidates who apply for the selection process via the university entrance exam no later than 6 pm on September 18. Until this deadline, candidates will pay R$75. After this date, the fee will be R$150.

Candidates from public sector high schools in Brazil or who received a 100% scholarship at private schools throughout their high school years can apply for a waiver from the application fee. The deadline for requesting this waiver in Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Brasilia is November 2, except for the FGV Sao Paulo Law School (October 9) and FGV Sao Paulo School of Economics (November 3).

For candidates applying via the National High School Exam (ENEM), the application fee is R$25 until 6 pm on September 18, and then R$50 until 6 pm on December 2. The only exception is the FGV Sao Paulo Law School, where the deadlines are the same, but the fee is R$75 or R$150, respectively. The deadline for requesting a waiver from the ENEM application fee is 6 pm on November 30, for all schools.

International selection process

Candidates who wish to apply to any FGV school via the international selection process will pay R$75 until the deadline of 6 pm on September. After then, the fee will be R$150. The deadline for applications depends on the school. In Rio de Janeiro, the deadline is 6 pm on December 28. FGV RI, FGV EESP and FGV EAESP, all in Sao Paulo, and FGV EPPG, in Brasilia, will accept applications until 6 pm on January 8, 2021. At the FGV Sao Paulo Law School, the deadline is 6 pm on October 16.
