Book on Organized Soccer Fans in Latin America is launched in Rio
The book explores the social aspects of Organized Soccer Fan Associations in Latin America.

The Laboratory for Sports Studies (LESP) of FGV’s School of Social Sciences (CPDOC) will launch the book ‘Torcidas organizadas na América Latina: estudos contemporâneos’ [Organized Soccer Fans in Latin America: contemporary studies] on June 13, at 6 p.m. The work, published by Editora 7Letras, will be launched at the Folha Seca bookstore (Rua do Ouvidor, 37, Centro – RJ).
Compiled by Bernardo Buarque (CPDOC) and Onésimo Rodriguez (Universidad de Costa Rica), the book explores the social aspects of Organized Soccer Fan Associations in Latin America. Promoting dialog among members of the field of Humanities across the continent, the work features contributions from experts from nine Latin American countries discussing the phenomena of organized soccer fans in each region, thus addressing this topic through a multifaceted and solemn approach.
