The book "Teaching Social Sciences and History: Experiences at CPDOC" will be launched next Tuesday, March 18, at 7pm, at Livraria da Travessa, in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro. The book brings together innovative pedagogical practices and active methodologies developed in the teaching of social sciences and history, providing an overview of the impact of digital humanities, audiovisuals and interdisciplinarity on academic training.
The book's organizers, Celso Castro, Marco Aurélio Vannucchi and Thais Blank, will be present at the event for a chat with the public, followed by an autograph session.
Book celebrates 50 years of FGV CPDOC
The launch is part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Center for Research and Documentation of Contemporary Brazilian History (FGV CPDOC), a reference institution for research, documentation and teaching in the country. This is the third volume of the special collection that has already published the titles "Oral and Audiovisual History: Experiences at CPDOC" and "Personal Archives: Experiences at CPDOC".
The book highlights how the production of knowledge and pedagogical practices can be strengthened by innovative methodologies, integrating research, documentary collections and teaching.
