On November 21, the Laboratory for Sports Studies and Documentation Coordination Unit, both part of Fundação Getulio Vargas’ School of Social Sciences (FGV CPDOC), will host representatives of Rio de Janeiro’s four main soccer clubs – Botafogo, Flamengo, Fluminense and Vasco – to debate the potential and limits of the organization of their historical archives. The event will take place in Auditorium 308 in FGV’s main building (Praia de Botafogo, 190, Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro).
The debate’s participants will include Edson Alves Jr. (representing Botafogo), Juliana Viana and Taísa Pires (Flamengo), Dhaniel Cohen (Fluminense) and Walmer Santana (Vasco). These professionals will present their experiences in organizing their archives – including preservation, diffusion and knowledge production.
At the end of the debate, FGV CPDOC’s Documentation Coordination Unit will invite those present to go on a technical tour of CPDOC’s Archive Center.
