FGV and IDPPA welcome papers for international conference on the Stockholm Declaration
The conference ‘Beyond Economics: The Stockholm Declaration and Setting Global Policy Priorities’ will be held in Rio de Janeiro in October.

FGV’s School of Social Sciences (CPDOC), in partnership with the International Development and Public Policy Alliance (IDPPA), will host the conference ‘Beyond Economics: The Stockholm Declaration and Setting Global Policy Priorities’. Professors and researchers who wish to participate in the event must submit their proposals by June 25.
Based on the Stockholm Declaration of November 2016, the conference encourages scholarly reflection on the subjects of GDP growth, macroeconomic stability, inclusive development, environmental sustainability, impact of technology and global economic inequality, social norms and attitudes and their relationship with economic models, market balance, State and society, and the development of global policies and the future of multilateral solutions.
By emphasizing the creation of global solutions designed by and for developing economies, the papers should present perspectives that provide a fresh take on the terms of political dialog, focusing on emerging nations and their populations.
IDPPA is a consortium composed of nine institutions in Brazil, China, Russia, India, South Africa, Turkey, Egypt, Malaysia, and Thailand. The conference will be held on October 24-26 at FGV’s main office in Rio de Janeiro. Submissions must be emailed in the form of abstracts to idppa@fgv.br.
