FGV and SICREDI join forces to train credit union professionals

SICREDI-Paraná, a credit union, in partnership with FGV In Company, has launched a Vocational Training Program, marking the first step in a journey of learning and growth for branch, service and operations managers.

The first class was celebrated with enthusiasm on April 8, 2024, at the Father Theodor Amstad Education Center in Curitiba. Katiuscia Karine Lange, people management coordinator for the Paraná, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro arms of SICREDI, welcomed the students warmly, emphasizing the importance of training and the role of each employee in their professional career.

The president of SICREDI in Paraná, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Manfred Alfonso Dasenbrock, who is also a member of the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU), gave an inspiring speech to the participants, sharing his vast professional experience and the values that have shaped his journey. Dasenbrock, the author of the book “Feet on the Ground – A Journey around the World,” autographed copies for the students and welcomed them into his office, providing for an enriching exchange of experiences and insights.

Denize Dutra, the course’s academic coordinator and an instructor at FGV In Company, said, “Vocational training for the branch, service and operations managers of cooperatives is a critical success factor for the sustainable growth of the SICREDI System. This training involves providing up-to-date knowledge and tools to contribute to the development of essential skills for managing the business and, above all, for managing people, whether they are members or employees.” She gave an overview of the program, which was collaboratively designed by several people, and wished the students a journey full of learning, growth and achievements.
