FGV CPDOC launches “Casa das Humanidades” podcast
The podcast is about history and social sciences; but also includes teaching, the archives, digital humanities, and audiovisual production.

The FGV´s School of Social Sciences (FGV CPDOC) launched the “Casa das Humanidades” (“Humanities House”) podcast in March. Available on the main audio platforms, the program was created to disseminate research and other activities carried out by the school.
The podcast is about history and social sciences; but also includes teaching, the archives, digital humanities, and audiovisual production. According to its creators, the main challenge is to find a language style that is accessible and interesting to the non-specialized public, but without losing its academic rigor.
Episodes will be released monthly. The debut program features Professor Américo Freire talking about his recently published book, “Democracia brasileira em foco” (“Brazilian democracy in focus”). Among episodes already scheduled, there is one that deals with the women’s archives in the FGV´s School of Social Sciences collection and another that looks at the institution's Audiovisual and Documentary Center.
