FGV holds webinar on Social Sciences and Humanities Integration in Horizon Europe

National Contact Points (NCPs) are responsible for providing guidance, practical information and assistance for the submission of research project proposals for funding by the Horizon Europe Program. As the host institution of the National Contact Point for Cluster 2 in Brazil, focusing on Social Sciences and Humanities, FGV will hold a webinar called “SSH Integration in Horizon Europe: Insights and Resources in Support of Interdisciplinarity,” on February 1, at 10:30 am.

A talk will be given by Kimberly Couvson-Liebe, the scientific director of Germany’s DLR Project Management Agency. She is part of the coordination team of Net4Society, the international network of National Contact Points for Cluster 2 of the Horizon Europe Program.

The event will address topics related to the integration of social sciences and humanities (SSH) into interdisciplinary projects as part of the program. There will be an explanation of what exactly SSH integration is and why it is important in the context of Horizon Europe. Some highlights in this field will also be presented, as well as ways to include SSH aspects in funding proposals, focusing on what project evaluators are looking for. In addition, the event, which will be opened by the director of the FGV Research Network, Goret Paulo, will present possible tools and support services provided by Net4Society, as well as an overview of how to integrate SSH from a practical point of view.

Horizon Europe is the largest research and innovation program in the European Union. Over the next seven years, it will allocate €95.5 billion to support research projects. The program supports international cooperation as a way to overcome the challenges facing the world, in areas such as climate, health, food, energy and water.
