FGV opens selection process for Master’s programs in Rio de Janeiro
Fundação Getulio Vargas has opened the selection process for its Master’s Programs in Rio de Janeiro. There are stricto sensu graduate programs in the following fields: Administration, Economics, Law, Applied Mathematics and Social Sciences.

Fundação Getulio Vargas has opened the selection process for its Master’s Programs in Rio de Janeiro. There are stricto sensu graduate programs in the following fields: Administration, Economics, Law, Applied Mathematics and Social Sciences. With classes starting in 2019, all courses are recognized by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and provide participants with an opportunity to learn from acclaimed professionals in their areas of expertise.
Administration
The Administration programs available are Executive Master’s Degree in Business Management (MEX); Professional Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MAP); and Master’s Degree in Administration, all at FGV’s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE).
The MEX allows students to develop their entrepreneurial management capacity as managers or directors, besides teaching Administration at universities and institutions. The Professional Master’s Degree in Public Administration trains leaders in the public sector, allowing new graduates to perform the roles of consultants, managers or directors, as well as advancing in their academic careers. Registration for both courses is open until October 31. The Master’s Degree in Administration, with registrations open until October 29, offers an interdisciplinary approach for students with Bachelor’s degree in several areas, along with administration graduates.

Economics
The course available for those looking for training excellence in the field of Economics is the Professional Master's Degree in Economics and Finance (MFEE), at FGV’s EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (EPGE). The program applies modern Economics and Finance theories to current issues within the business and financial markets, as well as economic policies and related areas. Registrations are open until December 3, with special rates for candidates who register by October 31.
The Academic Master's Degree, which uses the ANPEC selection process for program enrollment, offers conditions both for the continuation of studies in doctoral programs and for entry into professional activities in the public, private and academic sectors.

Law
The Law course offered is the Academic Master’s Degree in Regulatory Law, an innovative program offered by FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Law School (Direito Rio). The course stands out for a teaching method based on the theoretical toolbox and successful regulatory experiences in Brazil and abroad, developing and adapting them to promote analytical, critical and propositional reasoning focused on identifying, preventing and solving problems in the area, based on interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches.

Applied Mathematics
FGV’s School of Applied Mathematics (EMAp) offers the Academic Master’s Degree in Mathematical Modeling. The program has areas of concentration in information mathematics, mathematical modeling, finance and insurance. Besides training researchers in the area, the program provides Master’s candidates with the ability to break down scenarios and support decision-making in scenarios of intensive use of data and information.

Social Sciences
Finally, FGV’s School of Social Sciences (CPDOC) offers the Professional Master’s Degree in Cultural Assets and Social Projects and the Academic Master’s Degree in History, Politics and Cultural Assets. The Professional Master’s Degree in Cultural Assets and Social Projects targets students who intend to work in planning, design, development, management, advice, dissemination, monitoring or evaluation activities and proposals aimed at cultural assets. The Academic Master’s Degree in History, Politics and Cultural Assets trains qualified and updated professionals on the methodological and epistemological debates that characterize the field of History and Social Sciences through an interdisciplinary approach.
