FGV’s School of Social Sciences (CPDOC) will host the “Classroom Audiovisual Workshop: Theory and Application” in the first half of 2019. The initiative created to train Primary and High School teachers from both the public and private school systems is open for registrations until March 15.
The workshop includes the project titled “Research, education and innovation of Social Sciences and History”, designed to train Primary and High School teachers to use audiovisual content as a knowledge development and production tool. Participants will experience different methods to learn how to use footage within the school setting, besides creating their own short film.
The activity will be carried out in two phases. In the first phase, participants will attend classes and lectures with experts on the subject. The meetings will be held at FGV’s Main Office (Praia de Botafogo, 190. Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro/RJ) on April 4-6. At the end of the meeting, participants will submit their own movie scripts to be developed alongside CPDOC’s team of audiovisual technical experts.
The organizers will then select up to two scripts to be produced by FGV’s CPDOC. The short films to be used in the classroom must be based on the collection of CPDOC’s Personal Files or Oral History interviews.
Applicants must submit a statement of purpose, resume and proof of professional qualification by March 15. Up to 20 applicants will be selected. The list of selected participants will be posted on CPDOC’s portal by March 20.
