Partnership between FGV and Lorenzetti trains leaders in business management
According to Valéria Silva, Lorenzetti’s HR manager, this partnership has been highly useful to the company and to the employees’ professional growth.
Lorenzetti executives recently did an MBA in Business Management thanks to a partnership between the shower manufacturer and FGV In Company. The course was completed at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP) on April 10, 2023.
This was the fourth group of Lorenzetti employees to do an MBA in partnership with FGV. The third group did so around 10 years ago and the company wanted all its managers to do the same degree. Lorenzetti valued the positive experience of former students and the excellence of projects as part of the MBA.
According to Valéria Silva, Lorenzetti’s HR manager, this partnership has been highly useful to the company and to the employees’ professional growth. “So far, 190 of our executives, broken into 4 groups, have done FGV in Company’s MBA in Business Management. This partnership has contributed a lot to our team’s professional development and our company’s growth. Of the executives who have done this course in the last 16 years, 140 or 73% have remained at Lorenzetti, demonstrating the success of this program and our investment in human resources. Lorenzetti is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year but it is still a young, robust company, constantly innovating in its product line,” she said.
The course’s coordinator, Professor Felipe Zambaldi, stressed the program’s interdisciplinarity, the participants’ diversity, skills and engagement, and the synergistic application of content to projects designed to tackle challenges and seize opportunities at the company.
“The MBA in Business Management for Lorenzetti is a long-standing training program that is dynamically updated, continually strengthening the valuable relationship between the firm and FGV in Company. Lorenzetti is a major player in the industrial sector, with a rich organizational culture, as well as operational and strategic capabilities, giving it competitive advantages in terms of vertical integration, innovation and positioning. Participating in the growth of its employees and team through two-way training and combining state of the art management knowledge with disruptive trends is a way to contribute to the development of this remarkable organization,” he said.
