Support from Chilean government bolsters internationalization of FGV’s Professional Master’s
Rivas shares a closer look at the city of Valparaíso, in her home country of Chile. The master’s candidate said that she chose CPDOC “because it has a graduate program that allows me to articulate my interests as an artist, manager, and researcher.”

The Professional Master’s in Cultural Assets and Social Projects of FGV’s School of Social Sciences (CPDOC) received an important international recognition. Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y Las Artes, an entity that operates as the Ministry of Culture in Chile, granted financial aid to the research developed by student Isidora Rivas.
Advised by professor João Marcelo Maia, her work focuses on reflections on art, management, and democratization of urban spaces through Graffiti. In the research, Rivas shares a closer look at the city of Valparaíso, in her home country of Chile. The master’s candidate said that she chose CPDOC “because it has a graduate program that allows me to articulate my interests as an artist, manager, and researcher.”
The Chilean Consejo Nacional chose only 49 of the 258 proposals received in the 2017 Call, including the request submitted by Isidora. According to professor Alexandre Moreli, coordinator of CPDOC’s Professional Master’s, “this represents an important recognition from both Rivas and the Chilean government regarding our collective effort to bolster the internationalization of our program, attracting students and support from outside Brazil.”
