Brazil's role as host of COP 30 is the subject of an online event
The emphasis will be on the country's efforts towards environmental preservation and sustainable development, as well as economic repositioning, seeking to align growth and competitiveness with the principles of the ESG agenda.
On March 18, at 6pm, the Getulio Vargas Foundation will hold the webinar Brazil towards COP 30 and public-private integration in the ESG agenda. The event will highlight Brazil's role as host of COP 30 in 2025, assuming the historic and strategic responsibility of leading the global discussion on climate change and sustainability. The emphasis will be on the country's efforts towards environmental preservation and sustainable development, as well as economic repositioning, seeking to align growth and competitiveness with the principles of the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) agenda.
From the perspective of ESG principles, the webinar will address, among other topics, how to intensify the preservation of the Amazon; strengthening public-private partnerships; Brazil's position on the global stage and how to generate positive social impacts.
The guest speakers are:
- Fabricio Stocker, professor at the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (FGV EBAPE) and coordinator of the FGV ESG MBA;
- Palmira F. Gonçalves Ferreira, PhD from the Federal Rural University of the Amazon and biologist at SEMAS - the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainability of the Government of Pará;
- Sergio Talocchi, Senior Manager for Sustainable Chains at Natura&Co Latam.
