Call for papers: Journal prepares ‘Conversations about football’ dossier
Studies on football have become more prominent in the academic realm and editorial market in recent years. This football universe saw significant growth with the advent of multidisciplinary works, formation of research groups and consolidation of knowledge-building networks on the subject. In order to expand the debate, the Journal of History, Politics and Culture, of the Graduate Program in History, Politics and Cultural Assets (PPHPBC) for FGV’s School of Social Sciences (CPDOC), will receive contributions until February 28 for an edition whose purpose is to build the ‘Conversations about football’ dossier.
The dossier intends to gather articles, reviews, interviews and research notes on the subject and its complexities, considering its relevance for the Humanities and the a context conducive to debating this area in 2018, when the World Cup will be hosted by Russia. The event should be considered as a motivating factor for the overall debate on football, but the works should not be constrained to it as a single talking point. In addition to the contributions for the dossier’s subject, the journal will also accept academic work on various topics to comprise its other sections.
The Journal of History, Politics and Culture is organized by the PPHPBC students and intends to publish articles and other work focused on the areas of Humanities and Social Sciences. Go to the website for more information on the publication and the rules for submitting articles.
