Dean of CPDOC appointed extraordinary professor by Stellenbosch University
The School of Public Leadership aims to prepare students for positions of influence in civic organizations and it is also an important research center with a focus on global development and public governance challenges

Celso Castro, the dean of Fundação Getulio Vargas’ School of Social Sciences (FGV CPDOC), has been appointed an extraordinary professor by the School of Public Leadership at Stellenbosch University, South Africa, for a three-year period.
Extraordinary professors are outstanding experts in their academic field who are involved in the academic community, in different university departments, forming a diverse group of local and international specialists. Castro was invited to serve in this position from January 2021 to December 2023.
Founded in 1866, Stellenbosch University is one of the leading universities in Africa. The School of Public Leadership aims to prepare students for positions of influence in civic organizations and it is also an important research center with a focus on global development and public governance challenges.
