FGV’s School of Social Sciences (CPDOC) professor Bernardo Buarque de Hollanda has been elected representative of South America in the council of the International Oral History Association (IOHA) for the 2018-2020 term. The professor was appointed during the organization’s 20th conference, held in June at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland.
Representatives act as the organization’s mediators among researchers of each continent, disseminating and encouraging each region’s participation in the international community focused on the topic.
The IOHA was established more than 20 years ago and has always engaged the Brazilian community, including CPDOC researchers. The association’s next conference will be held in Singapore.
