Fintechs and Blockchain: seminar discusses opportunities for financial markets
These specialists will discuss topics such as “The Central Bank’s role in building the financial system of the future,” “Financial intermediation: innovations aimed at entrepreneurship,” and “Fintechs: opportunities and micro and macroeconomic aspects.”

In order to discuss the impacts of innovations on the financial and banking markets in Brazil, the FGV´s EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (FGV EPGE) will hold a seminar titled “Fintechs and Blockchain: opportunities for the financial markets” on November 11, at 1:30 pm. The event will take place at the FGV Cultural Center, at Praia de Botafogo, 186, Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro.
The seminar’s speakers will be Alexandre Linhares (FGV professor), Beny Parnes (chief economist, SPX Capital), Carlos Thadeu de Freitas Gomes (chairman, BNDES), Habib Nascif (CEO, Órama Investimentos), João Manoel Pinho de Mello (deputy governor for licensing and resolution, Banco Central do Brasil), José Féres (FGV EPGE professor), Mariana Cunha e Melo (public policy manager, Nubank), Reinaldo Rabelo (new business director, Mercado Bitcoin), Rubens Penha Cysne (dean of FGV EPGE), Sérgio Werlang (advisor to FGV president and professor), Tomás Mariotto (new business manager, Santander) and Vinicius Carrasco (chief economist, Stone).
