Inaugural class promotes debate on Data Science, Finance and Economics
The event, held in São Paulo, included presentations by teachers and an exchange of experiences between students.

Last Saturday, February 22, the FGV auditorium on Avenida 9 de Julho in São Paulo hosted the Inaugural Class of the Master's program, a lato sensu postgraduate program at the São Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP). The event was attended by students and several teachers. The students were able to share their expectations of the program, while the teachers briefly presented their professional careers and outstanding academic backgrounds.
During the morning, participants learned about the journey they will experience over the next 18 months. The program stands out for its flexibility, allowing students to customize their academic paths by choosing elective courses.
The Masters represent programs of excellence in the postgraduate area, with two options available: the Master in Applied Data Science and the Master in Finance and Economics, the latter offering three specialization emphases: Business Economics, Corporate Finance and Controllership, and Investments. All the courses are offered in a blended format, combining face-to-face and live online classes, making it possible for students from different regions of Brazil to take part.
FGV EESP Master's Coordinator, Prof. Márcio Holland, said: "We are committed to providing an educational experience that not only enriches technical knowledge, but also develops practical skills that are essential for the market. The diversity of our students will certainly enrich the discussions and learning throughout the course."
Applications for the next class, which will start in August, will open in March. For more information, click here.
