Webinar brings together professionals to debate return to classes at private schools

On August 5, Fundação Getulio Vargas’s Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (FGV EPGE) and FGV High School will bring together private sector basic education professionals to debate the current plans for resuming in-person classes. The webinar, called “COVID-19 and Decisions on the Resumption of Classes in Private Sector Basic Education,” will be broadcast live on FGV’s YouTube channel, starting at 6 pm.

The participants will be Dom Anselmo Chagas de Paiva, the president of São Bento University in Rio de Janeiro; Fábio Oliveira, the vice president and director of education at Grupo Eleva; José Henrique Paim Fernandes, a former education minister and dean of FGV DGPE; Marcela Rangel, the director of the Dom Barreto Institute; Marieta de Moraes Ferreira, the director of FGV High School; Paulo Carvalho, the director of Corcovado German School in Rio de Janeiro and a researcher at Rio de Janeiro Catholic University’s Education Management and Quality Group; and Raimundo Nonato Oliveira Barros, the director of the Jesuit Basic Education Network in Brazil. The dean of the FGV Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (FGV EPGE), Professor Rubens Penha Cysne, will be the moderator.
