FGV Knowledge is now accepting applications for the Sixth National Insurance Brokers’ Exam. Passing this exam is a requirement to work in the sector in Brazil. Those interested in obtaining this certification and qualifying to work in the market have until December 6 to register on the organizing institution’s website.
The exam is designed to assess candidates’ knowledge in several key areas for the profession. Held on December 14 and 15, the exam will consist of multiple-choice questions. To pass, candidates must correctly answer at least 70% of the questions across all subjects, without failing any individual subject.
The registration fee for the Lottery Bonds and Life Insurance & Pensions areas is R$499 each. For the Property Insurance area, the fee is R$999. If they wish to qualify in all areas, candidates may opt to pay a discounted fee of R$1,900. The fees may be paid in 10 interest-free monthly installments, although there is a 10% discount for lump-sum payments.
In this edition, the exam will take place on two consecutive days, broken down by test module. The Lottery Bonds test will take place on December 14, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., followed by the Life Insurance & Pensions test from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Each will feature 50 questions. On December 15, the Property Insurance test (formerly called the Casualty Insurance test) will occur from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., featuring 100 questions. These times are based on Brasilia time.
The preliminary results will be released on December 17. Appeals against questions must be submitted on December 18 or 19. The final results are due to be disclosed on January 17, 2025. The certificates will be issued after the final results have been announced, after candidates apply for them and prove they comply with the prerequisites.
