Webinar debates labor law and justice from constitutional perspective
FGV Sao Paulo Law School’s Non-Degree Graduate Law Program (FGV LAW) is holding a free webinar on labor law and justice from a constitutional perspective. This public event will be livestreamed on FGV’s YouTube channel on November 30, at 6 p.m.
Brazil’s 1988 Constitution elevated basic workers’ rights to the level of fundamental rights. Thirty-five years later, several Federal Supreme Court decisions have restricted labor rights. This webinar will look at the parameters of this debate, the main aspects of this issue and challenges involved in protecting labor rights.
The moderator will be Maria Claudia Girotto do Couto, academic coordination manager at FGV LAW. The speakers will be Eduardo Rockenbach Pires, a professor of labor law at FGV LAW; and Tonia Andrea Inocentini Galletti, also a professor of labor law at FGV LAW and a lawyer.
