FGV and BID to hold a debate on the Bank’s strategy for Brazil
The meeting brings together academia and the private sector to discuss initiatives for the development of Brazil

Fundação Getulio Vargas and the Inter-American Development Bank (BID) will debate the Strategy that will guide BID's actions in Brazil until 2027. In addition to presenting details about the document that will guide BID's support for the country's sustainable development in the coming years, the event, which brings together representatives from the private sector and academia, will address topics related to sustainability, productivity, infrastructure, social policies, among others.
The new BID country strategy includes measures to increase the impact of the Bank's projects on green opportunities and climate resilience, stimulate growth, and promote a new social agenda. According to BID's country economist in Brazil, José Luiz Rossi Jr, the meeting will be an opportunity for different sectors of society to deeply understand the strategy. “The construction of the new country strategy was a participatory process that involved the Brazilian government, the private sector, academic institutions, and civil society. We are now starting the implementation of this commitment, which aims to boost Brazil's leading role in responding to universal challenges and bring benefits to all citizens.”
