FGV’s Internship and Career Development Center will host a debate on the Sports Incentive Act, on September 20, in partnership with Fundação Gol de Letra and Clube do Patrocínio. The Meeting with Social Investors will gather Fundação Gol de Letra directors Sóstenes Oliveira and Beatriz Pantaleão, Oi’s sponsorship manager, Bruno Cremona, and marketing specialist Danyel Braga, from Clube do Patrocínio – an online platform offering solutions for cultural, sports and social projects, in addition to attracting sponsorships for companies – and Paulo Vieira, President of the Technical Committee for the Brazilian Ministry of Sports’ Incentive Act. The event will be held at the auditorium of FGV’s main office (Praia de Botafogo, 190. Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro/RJ), open to the public and free of charge.
“We realize that sports incentive policies are a subject that still raises a lot of questions and doubts in Brazil. This is a real opportunity for companies to better understand this social investment mechanism and its laws, opportunities and benefits”, said Sóstenes Oliveira, general director of the foundation.
Operating in socially vulnerable communities such as the Complexo do Caju, in Rio’s waterfront area, and Vila Albertina, in Sao Paulo, Fundação Gol de Letra is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2018. The organization is recognized by UNESCO as a worldwide model in supporting the development of children in situations of social risk. In 2017, the institution benefited almost 5,000 children, adolescents, youth and adults through its direct service programs. The organization gathered a total of 8,700 participants in open activities focusing on the communities where it operates.
