46315 – Brazil’s onshore oil production is central focus of online debate
On July 5, 2021, at 6 pm, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Center for Energy Studies (FGV Energy) will hold another webinar in the “Women and the Economy, Politics and Energy” series, on FGV’s YouTube channel. This time, the online meeting will focus on Brazil’s onshore oil production.
Realistic possibilities for the country’s inland basins will be discussed, as well as advances in the Program to Revitalize Oil and Gas Exploration and Production in Onshore Areas (REATE), and how to coordinate Petrobras’ divestments, private investments and the fast-moving energy transition, especially in the natural gas sector.
In order to shed practical, current and female perspectives on this subject, the webinar will feature the director of the Geoscience Institute at Bahia Federal University, Olívia Oliveira; the director of the National Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP), Symone Araújo; and Professor Virgínia Parente of the University of Sao Paulo. The debate will be moderated by Fernanda Delgado, a strategic advisor and professor at FGV Energy.
