Postgraduate course in Energy Transition is launched for MME employees
The course is part of Project Meta II and is funded by the World Bank

On March 14, 2025, Fundação Getulio Vargas held the opening ceremony of the postgraduate lato sensu course in Energy Transition, aimed at employees of the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME). The initiative is part of Project Meta II, supported by the World Bank, and aims to train professionals in formulating energy policies aligned with new sustainability and innovation demands.
The event took place in the ground floor auditorium of the Ministry of Mines and Energy and was attended by the Deputy Executive Secretary, Fernando Colli, and the National Secretary of Energy Transition and Planning, Thiago Barral. After the ceremony, students attended the first lecture, delivered by Professor Doctor Diogo Lisbona.
The course will be conducted in a hybrid format (in-person, blended, and online) and will cover topics such as electricity, oil and natural gas, biofuels, energy efficiency, geology, and mining.
