Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP) is holding a webinar called “Diversification in the Energy Transition: The Role of Biofuels.” This public event will be livestreamed on FGV’s YouTube channel on August 29, at 6 pm.
The energy transition and decarbonization solutions are extremely important issues at this moment. Countries are faced with different options in this area and their choices will depend on their potential resources and specific socioeconomic issues. Accordingly, this event will debate the importance of biofuels in Brazil’s decarbonization process and the environmental, social and economic benefits of this option, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced by the country.
The moderator will be Professor Amanda Motta Schutze of FGV EESP. The speakers will be Paula Kovarsky, VP for strategy and sustainability at Raízen; and Olivier Wambersie, general manager for R&D and innovation at Shell.
