Event analyzes data culture in context of communication
Digital communication technologies have made massive and intense data collection possible. In this context, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ School of Communication, Media and Information (FGV ECMI) is holding a webinar called “Data Culture and Communication” on July 20, at 2 pm. This public event will take place on FGV’s YouTube channel.
Data is now one of the foundations of the business models of different internet services and it can be a distinctive advantage in business. However, it is not enough to collect data on a large scale, as it is also necessary to know how to analyze it and thereby extract information and generate strategic knowledge.
What is the role of data in digital culture? How can it aid digital business intelligence? What are the main challenges in data analysis? These are some of the questions we will address in this webinar. The school has invited experts in different fields to discuss the importance of data culture for digital communication.
The speakers will be Carla Oliveira, business analytics team leader at CAS Tecnologia; Ivana Bentes, professor and extension work provost at Rio de Janeiro Federal University; Leonardo F. Nascimento, the coordinator of Bahia Federal University’s Digital Humanities Laboratory; and Professor Danielle Sanches of FGV ECMI.
