Event launches Low-Carbon Hydrogen Report
Event to discuss critical factors hindering hydrogen economy from advancing in Brazil.

On November 22, from 14 p.m. to 17 p.m., FGV Energy will launch the “FGV Energy Low-Carbon Hydrogen Report: The Importance of Making Progress on Systemic Issues” at an event to present and debate challenges associated with the development of the hydrogen production chain in Brazil. The event, to take place in FGV’s main building in Rio de Janeiro, will be attended by some prominent names in the Brazilian energy sector.
From the analytical perspective of researchers, the new FGV Energy document focuses on examining and discussing Brazil’s comparative advantages, which give it an important role at global level, as well as structural aspects that need to be worked on so that these comparative advantages can be transformed into socioeconomic development, generating opportunities for both foreign and domestic markets.
The report also discusses the progress of initiatives from regulatory and legal perspectives, as well as gaps that still exist, based on the National Hydrogen Program’s Three-Year Plan, the main bills in the pipeline and international best practices.
The FGV Energy Low-Carbon Hydrogen Report is published in a special edition of the FGV Energy Journal, which aims to democratize access to knowledge and encourage discussion of issues that can promote socioeconomic development opportunities for Brazil in the energy sector.
