On September 28, FGV Energy will hold a webinar called “Energy in Focus: Women’s Perspectives on Energy, the Economy and Politics.” The event will bring together female leaders in different fields to share their voices and points of view on the economy, politics and energy. The webinar will be broadcast live on FGV’s YouTube channel, starting at 6 pm.
Among all the learning opportunities that have appeared during the pandemic, men have dominated the debate. According to Ilana Trombka, the director general of the Senate, equity, plurality and diversity are widely mentioned concepts in the stated values of organizations, but this mandatory uniformity seems a mere formality. Unfortunately, only a minority of organizations really understand them and an even smaller number exercise them.
Ways of reversing this situation will be discussed by Professor Carmen Migueles of the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (FGV EBAPE); Heloísa Borges, the director of oil, natural gas and biofuel studies at the Brazilian government’s Energy Research Company (EPE); Michelle Hallack, a senior specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank; and Vania Carvalho, Exxon’s commercial director. The moderator will be Fernanda Delgado, a professor and strategic advisor at FGV Energy.
