FGV debates arbitration in the power sector
Accordingly, the event will debate and reflect on the history of arbitration in the power sector, as well as the future of electricity-related conflict resolution.

The FGV Mediation and Arbitration Chamber is holding an event about arbitration in the power sector. This public event will take place on October 19, at 8:30 a.m., in the FGV Room in Sao Paulo.
Brazil’s deregulated power market is challenging, complex and extremely important for the country’s development. Conflict resolution in this sector needs to be dynamic and specialized. The FGV Mediation and Arbitration Chamber’s more than 15 years of experience in administering arbitration procedures involving agents in the Electricity Sales Chamber (CCEE), working together with big players and specialists in regulation and power, has been fundamental for the development of the system for resolving disputes in the deregulated power market.
Accordingly, the event will debate and reflect on the history of arbitration in the power sector, as well as the future of electricity-related conflict resolution.
The event will feature experts in two panel discussions, called “The History of Arbitration in the Power Sector and the Energy Transition” and “New Perspectives on Arbitration in the Power Sector.”
