FGV Energy holds Advisory Board meeting to discuss new research topics
Hosted an FGV Energy Advisory Board meeting to debate hot topics in the energy sector and their impacts on the economy, and to propose ideas for new research projects.

On April 12, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ president, Professor Carlos Ivan Simonsen, and Carlos Otavio Quintella, the executive director of FGV Energy, hosted an FGV Energy Advisory Board meeting to debate hot topics in the energy sector and their impacts on the economy, and to propose ideas for new research projects.
The opening remarks were made by Fernando Coelho Filho, a federal representative and former mining and energy minister. He talked about the sector’s present circumstances and the political context in the run-up to this year’s elections. FGV Energy presented its research areas this year.
The meeting was attended by the following Advisory Board members and guests: Amilcar Guerreiro (Cepel), André Araújo (Shell), David Zylbersztajn (DZ Consultoria), Emiliano Fernandes (Prio), Décio Odonne (Enauta), Fernando Coelho Filho (federal representative), Ieda Gomes (consultant at FGV Energy), Luiz Fernando Vianna (Delta Energia), Mario Santos (Enel), Nelson Narciso (consultant at FGV Energy), Reive Barros (Chesf), Ricardo Savini (3R Petroleum) and Wilson Ferreira (Vibra).
