FGV Projetos and BTG Pactual makes an agreement towards biofuel production in Africa
FGV Projetos and BTG Pactual made an agreement to the creation of an investment fund based on biofuel production in Africa. The agreement was celebrated at BTG Pactual's headquarters in NY, where the Chairman and CEO of the investment bank, André Esteves, was awarded the prize Person of the Year, granted by the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce. The fund was announced by the former Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in one video specially recorded for the award event. For the FGV Projetos's director, Cesar Cunha Campos, this initiative ? apart from being innovative ? contributes to the development of African countries and it totally aligned with the global policy of incentive to cleaner power and fuel production. The total amount of the fund is 1.2 billion dollars and will be launched in the market to be raised by BTG Pactual in three months. *in the picture, the CEO of BTG Pactual, André Esteves, and Cesar Cunha Campos
