FGV Projetos approaches Brazil's role in the world economy in New York

FGV Projetos carried out in New York, on May 15, the event ?The World Economy and Brazil?, with professor Kenneth Rogoff. The breakfast is a partnership between FGV Projetos and the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce, with the purpose to promote the exchange and dissemination of ideas on the Brazilian role in the world economy.Kenneth Rogoff is professor of Economics and Public Policies from Harvard, apart from having being chief economist and research director of the International Monetary Fund (FMI) from 2001 to 2003. Rogoff also produced the treaty ?Foundations of International Macroeconomics? ? the basis for economic studies all over the world ? and develops an empirical work on the exchange rates, Central Banks' independence and the use of inflation targets as an institutional tool to increase the credibility of monetary policies.The meeting will also be attended by FGV's professor Carlos Langoni, Doctor in Economics from the University of Chicago, CEO and partner of Projeta Consultoria, and director of FGV's World Economy Center.
