Impact of American elections in international energy context is theme of webinar
The debaters will explore how the alternation of power in the United States may shift the axis of discussions on climate change and energy transition from Europe to the United States
On October 19, FGV Energy and energy news website EPBR will hold a webinar to discuss the latest political news about the American presidential elections, domestic and international energy markets, and international relations. The speakers will be Felipe Perez of IHS; Fernanda Delgado of FGV Energy; Maiara Folly of Plataforma Cipó; and Paulo Sotero of the Wilson Center. The event will be broadcast on FGV’s YouTube channel, starting at 6 pm.
The debaters will explore how the alternation of power in the United States may shift the axis of discussions on climate change and energy transition from Europe to the United States. They will also discuss the possibility of a resumption of multilateralism and the restoration of America’s alliance with Europe. Regarding Brazil, the participants will discuss the country’s position if this multilateral agenda is resumed and its role if there is a reconfiguration of power.
