The International Coordinator of FGV Management launches the book The B of BRICS

The economist and coordinator of the international area of FGV Management, Pedro Mello de Carvalho, launches the book ?The B of BRICs ? Consumption potential, natural resources and the Brazilian economy? (O B de BRICs ? Potencial de consumo, recursos naturais e economia brasileira, Editora Saint Paul publisher). The work approaches the impacts of Brazil's economic rise in the next decades, regarding the increased relevance of the country's purchasing power in the context of the BRICS. Currently, the country is one of the big suppliers of commodities on the planet, and has a consumer market that grows based on a new middle class, which corresponds to 55% of the population.In his book, the economist makes an analysis of the five great powers of a domestic market ? consumption patterns, economic geography, demographic transition, income distribution and GDP growth potential ? and defends that the Brazil is based on the comparative advantages of its natural resources, and at the same time creating mechanisms to add value to its primary products. The author also lists the Brazilian economic areas with strong potential to develop new businesses.The launch of the book ?The B of BRICs ?
