International guest discusses Brazil's outlook in natural gas market

FGV Energy will host a lecture with Kenneth B. Medlock III, PhD in Economics from Rice University, on November 29 at 2:30 p.m. The meeting is part of the series “Energy in Focus – Strategies and Challenges for the Future” and will address the topic “Perspectives for Brazil’s insertion in a future natural gas international market”. During the event, which will be held in the auditorium of FGV’s main office in Rio de Janeiro (Praia de Botafogo, 190. Botafogo), the guest will present his vision on the energy area based on his research in the areas of energy and economy.

Kenneth B. Medlock III is the director of the Master’s degree program in Energy Economics of the Baker Institute for Public Policy and president of the advisory board for the Energy and Environment Initiative of Rice University. He is one of the major players responsible for the development of the “World Gas Trade Model”, which aims to assess the future of the international natural gas trade.

FGV Energy has been hosting the series of lectures ‘Energy in Focus’ since 2014, featuring senior management professionals from the energy industry. The goal is to discuss the political, economic, and technological challenges for the industry’s development in Brazil.
