Itaipu president gives lecture on hydroelectric power generation market
During the meeting, hosted by FGV Energy, Renault’s 100% electric car will be unveiled for the first time in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
FGV Energy will host a lecture by Luiz Fernando Leone Vianna, General Director of Itaipu Binacional, on December 6, at 6 p.m., in another edition of the lecture series ‘Energy in Focus – Strategies and Challenges for the Future’. During the meeting, the guest speaker will talk about his experience in the hydroelectric power generation market.
Also during the event, Renault’s 100% electric car, TWIZY, will also be unveiled for the first time in the city of Rio de Janeiro, through a partnership between FGV Energy and Itaipu. It will drive through the streets to showcase the efficiency of the brand’s newest car and will be on display at the Esplanade of FGV’s Cultural Center during the event.
Luiz Fernando Leone Vianna holds degrees in Business Administration and Electrical Engineering, both from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), and specializes in Hydroelectric Power. In addition to acting as General Director of Itaipu Binacional (2017-2022), he is also a member of the Board of Directors of the National Operators of the Electric System (ONS), council member of the Environment Fund of the Electricity Industry (FMASE), founding member of the Forum of Brazilian Electricity Industry Associations, and advisor at FGV energy.
FGV Energy has been hosting the Energy in Focus lecture series since 2014, featuring senior management professionals from the energy industry. The goal is to discuss the political, economic, and technological challenges for the industry’s development in Brazil.
