Major Oil and Gas players meet at FGV Energy event in the U.S.
The event was held at Rice University along with the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), fostering partnerships and discussions to create a new business environment.

FGV Energy – Center for Energy Studies organized a meeting among the different sectors of the oil and gas industry in Houston, U.S. The event was held at Rice University along with the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), fostering partnerships and discussions to create a new business environment.
The event brought together important global players from the O&G and power industry in an environment that integrated players, vendors, public entities – including the Minister of Mines and Energy, Fernando Coelho Filho –, promotional organizations, research centers, development agencies, and international delegations brought by consulates.
Titled ‘Brazilian Barbecue’, the meeting’s goal was to contribute to the recovery of the national oil and gas (O&G) industry and consolidate Brazil as a major hub for global investment. A total of approximately 250 participants from the O&G industry attended the event, including government officials and executives from major oil companies.
The event was sponsored by American Airlines, Faveret l Lampert Advogados, Total, Vieira Resende Advogados, Delta Airlines, Petrorio, Sproule, and Oceânica. FGV Energy also had institutional support from the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the National Oil Agency, the Brazilian Institute of Oil, Gas, and Biofuels (IBP), the Brazilian Consulate General in Houston, and the US Commercial Service in Rio.
