Minister of Mines and Energy and presidents of Petrobras and Eletrobras debate impacts of COVID-19

On April 15, between 6 pm and 7:30 pm, Brazil’s leading authorities on the energy sector will participate in a debate entitled, “Energy in Focus: The government and the future”, which will discuss the impacts of coronavirus in the energy sector. The event, organized by FGV Energy in partnership with agency EPBR, will be broadcast online and will include participation of Minister of Mines and Energy, Admiral Bento Albuquerque; Petrobras President, Roberto Castello Branco and Eletrobras President, Wilson Ferreira.

Director of FGV Energy, Carlos Quintella, who will moderate the meeting, explains that the proposal is to assess the current situation in the sector and discuss the resumption of post-pandemic growth.

“There is a sense of unprecedented uncertainty in the world in all segments of the economy, especially in energy. I will invite participants to contextualize the market, within their areas of expertise, and soon after there will be a debate,” Carlos Quintella said.
