Online event focuses on Brazilian finance in context of energy transition
During the meeting, the participants will discuss how Brazil’s financial system is harnessing opportunities related to the climate to boost businesses that are generating jobs and prosperity.

On June 22, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Center for Regulation and Infrastructure Studies (FGV CERI) will hold a webinar called “The Climate for Brazilian Finance in the Energy Transition.” The event’s special guest will be Joaquim Levy, the director of economic strategy and market relations at Banco Safra and a former finance minister and head of the national development bank, BNDES. The webinar will take place at 2 pm, on FGV’s YouTube channel.
During the meeting, the participants will discuss how Brazil’s financial system is harnessing opportunities related to the climate to boost businesses that are generating jobs and prosperity.
The moderator will be the director of FGV CERI, Joisa Dutra. In addition to Joaquim Levy, the speakers will be Elbia Gannoum, president of the Brazilian Wind Power Association; and Ricardo Gorini, senior program officer for Renewable Energy Roadmaps at the International Renewable Energy Agency.
