Online meeting discusses coordination and partnerships to advance biodiversity and climate agendas

The Center for Sustainability Studies (FGVces) and FGV In Company are holding a webinar called “Coordination and Partnerships to Advance the Biodiversity and Climate Agendas.” This public event will be livestreamed on FGV’s YouTube channel on November 22, at 10:30 a.m.
The speakers will be Rita Mesquita, national secretary for biodiversity, forests and animal rights at the Brazilian Environment Ministry; and Frineia Rezende, executive director of The Nature Conservancy Brasil. The moderator will be Guarany Osório, coordinator of FGVces’ Environmental Policy and Economics Program.
This event will wrap up the 2023 cycle of “Business Initiatives,” a program conducted by FGVces together with companies in several sectors. In a roundtable discussion, the guest speakers will share their experiences and efforts to advance the biodiversity agenda, considering the possibilities and challenges of integrating it with the climate agenda, and the importance of coordination between actors in light of the challenges faced. The webinar will also see the launch of a publication mapping what has been happening on the biodiversity agenda (initiatives, instruments and agreements), links with the climate agenda and connections with business management.
