Online meeting discusses prospects for natural gas market
FGV Energy, sponsored by Petrobras, is holding the fifth webinar in its “Energy in Focus” series on the oil and gas sector, called “Possible Scenarios for the Oil and Gas Sector in Brazil: Prospects for the Natural Gas Market.” This public event will be livestreamed on FGV’s YouTube channel on September 18, at 6 p.m.
The meeting will discuss the role of natural gas for the Brazilian energy sector, economic advances and challenges related to opening up the market, the regulatory agenda since the New Gas Law was passed, and new initiatives such as Gas for Employment, as well as the future outlook for gas supply and demand conditions expected by stakeholders.
The speakers will be Alvaro Tupiassu, executive manager for gas and electricity at Petrobras; Marcelo Menezes, executive secretary of SEDETEC-SE; and Ovidio Quintana, commercial and regulation director at TAG. The moderators will be Marcio Couto, FGV Energy’s research superintendent, and journalist Mariana Trigo.
