The unregulated power market, which took its first steps at the beginning of this century, has come of age, meeting many expectations for modernization of the Brazilian electricity sector. To discuss progress in this market in 2020 and its future prospects, FGV Energy will hold a webinar on the subject on January 18, as part of its Energy in Focus series.
The meeting’s agenda will include the decentralization of systems, the empowerment of clients, technological advances, new sales modalities, financing for expansion and electricity pricing. The speakers will be Élbia Melo, the president of ABEEólica; Marcos Madureira of ABRADEE; Paulo Pedrosa of ABRACE; Reginaldo Medeiros of ABRACEEL; and Rui Altieri of CCEE. Open to the public, the webinar will be moderated by FGV Energy senior researcher Paulo Cunha.
