Ranking classifies FGV as one of most relevant brands in last five decades
FGV was the second most remembered in the education category, along with USP (1st) and Unicamp (3rd).

Brazil and the world have changed significantly over the past five decades. In half a century, technology has advanced and social relations have changed. However, some institutions have remained strong over time and were able to follow and contribute to the evolution of society. This is the case of Fundação Getulio Vargas, which has just been featured in a survey by Veja magazine as one of the most outstanding institutions for Brazilians in the education category.
The survey heard 1,897 magazine subscribers on their opinion about the brands that stood out the most in 19 categories in half a century. FGV was the second most remembered in the education category, along with USP (1st) and Unicamp (3rd).
“Once again, FGV appears alongside prestigious brands such as Nike, Coca-Cola, Embraer, among other winners in their categories. This is yet another show of strength of the FGV brand and an acknowledgement of the teaching and research of excellence at our schools and units”, said Marcos Facó, Director of Communications and Marketing at FGV.
With over 70 years of history, FGV has followed and contributed to Brazil’s economic development, whether by publishing economic indexes that aid in decision-making by public and private sector managers, or with research that guides the adoption of various public policies able to transform society. All this work places FGV as one of the leading think tanks in the world.
