RenovaBio: Event discusses strategic role of biofuels
To discuss the future of the RenovaBio program, FGV Energy, the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), and Empresa de Pesquisa Energética (EPE) will host the event ‘RenovaBio – Next steps’.
The Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) launched the RenovaBio program in 2016. The program’s main goals are to help fulfill the Paris Agreement, expand biofuels across the energy matrix, and ensure predictability for the fuels market, reducing greenhouse gas emissions. To discuss the future of the program, FGV Energy, the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), and Empresa de Pesquisa Energética (EPE) will host the event ‘RenovaBio – Next steps’ on February 1, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., at FGV’s Cultural Center (Praia de Botafogo, 186, Botafogo).
The event will present the main initiatives to be adopted by the Ministry of Mines and Energy, ANP, and EPE to implement the RenovaBio program.
Debates will include MME’s Secretary of Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels, Márcio Félix, Congressman Evandro Gussi, MME’s Director of the Department of Biofuels, Miguel Ivan Lacerda, the Director of the EPE, José Mauro Coelho, the Director of the ANP, Aurélio Amaral, and FGV Energy researchers Tamar Roitman and Felipe Gonçalves.
